Player Profiles

Every player on your roster has a profile that stores their key information. Profiles help coaches make informed decisions about lineups and matchups, and they give players a place to keep their own info up to date.

Profile Fields

Each player profile includes the following fields:

FieldDescriptionWho can edit
NamePlayer’s display namePlayer, Coach, Manager, Owner
Short NameAbbreviated name for compact displays (lineups, stats)Player, Coach, Manager, Owner
HeightPlayer’s height (cm or ft/in)Player, Coach, Manager, Owner

Date of BirthPlayer’s date of birthPlayer, Coach, Manager, Owner

StatusActive, Dormant, Inactive, Retired, PracticeCoach, Manager, Owner
RoleOwner, Coach, Team Manager, or MemberOwner (Coach/Manager for Members)
Line AssignmentsWhich lines the player belongs toCoach, Manager, Owner

The Condition field is great for tracking injuries, fitness status, or recovery notes. Coaches can use this to make game-day lineup decisions — for example, noting “recovering from hamstring pull, limited cutting” so you don’t put a player on a deep cut play.

Editing Your Own Profile

Players can update their own profile at any time:

  1. Tap your avatar or go to Profile from the sidebar.
  2. Edit any of your personal fields (name, height, weight, DOB, matching preference, condition).
  3. Save your changes.

Your profile updates are reflected across the team immediately — in the roster, line views, and game-day tools that reference your info.

Matching Preference

UltiStackr uses Matching preference in roster and mixed-game workflows.

Available values are:

  • FMP
  • MMP

These labels are used by mixed-ratio tools to show whether a selected line matches the required point ratio. If a player has no matching preference set, mixed-ratio checks may show that player as unknown until their profile is updated.

Updating Your Profile Picture

  1. Open your profile.
  2. Tap the avatar or Change Photo button.
  3. Upload a new image or take a photo (on mobile).
  4. Crop and confirm.

Supported formats: PNG, JPG, or WebP. Square images work best for avatars.

Coaches Editing Player Profiles

Coaches, Team Managers, and Owners can edit any player’s profile. This is useful for:

  • Pre-populating profiles after creating roster entries — filling in heights, weights, and positions that players may not have entered yet.
  • Updating condition notes — a coach can note an injury or fitness concern after a practice or game.
  • Correcting information — fixing typos or outdated info on behalf of a player.

How to Edit a Player’s Profile (as a Coach/Manager)

  1. Go to the Roster tab.
  2. Open the player’s profile by clicking their name or avatar.
  3. Click Edit Profile.
  4. Make your changes and save.

Changes made by coaches or managers are visible to the player on their own profile. There are no “hidden” coach-only edits — transparency keeps everyone on the same page.

Privacy Controls

Player profiles contain personal information, so UltiStackr gives both players and team admins control over who can see what.

What Team Members Can See

By default, all team members can see:

  • Player name and avatar
  • Line assignments
  • Status (active, dormant, etc.)
  • Role on the team

Restricted Fields

The following fields have privacy controls and are visible only to Coaches, Managers, and Owners by default:

  • Date of birth
  • Weight
  • Condition / injury notes

Players can choose to make their restricted fields visible to the full team from their privacy settings. This is a personal choice — UltiStackr never forces players to share sensitive information with the entire roster.

Adjusting Privacy Settings

Players can manage their own privacy settings:

  1. Go to your Profile.
  2. Open Privacy Settings.
  3. Toggle visibility for each restricted field:
    • Coaches only — Only Owners, Coaches, and Managers can see this field.
    • Whole team — All team members can see this field.

Profile Pictures and Avatars

Profile pictures appear throughout UltiStackr:

  • On the roster list
  • In team chat messages
  • On game-day lineup views

If a player hasn’t uploaded a profile picture, UltiStackr generates a default avatar using their initials and a unique color.

Encourage your players to upload profile pictures — it makes the roster easier to navigate and helps new team members learn names and faces faster. Especially useful at the start of a season when you’ve got fresh cuts joining the squad.

Tips for Coaches

  • Fill in profiles early. After adding your roster, review profiles and fill in any missing data. Complete profiles make roster and lineup decisions easier.
  • Use the Condition field actively. Update it after practices and games to track who’s healthy, who’s nursing an injury, and who’s ready for full minutes.
  • Respect player privacy. Sensitive fields like weight and DOB are restricted by default for a reason. Only share this data when it’s genuinely useful for team operations.
