Notification Preferences

Not every notification deserves a buzz in your pocket. UltiStackr gives you granular control over which notifications you receive and how they’re delivered, so you can stay informed without being overwhelmed.

Accessing Your Preferences

  1. Tap your profile avatar in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Tap Notification Preferences.

From here, you’ll see a list of all available notification types with toggles for each delivery channel.

Notification Channels

UltiStackr supports two notification delivery channels:

ChannelDescription
In-appNotifications that appear in your Notification Center inside the app. Always available.
PushNotifications delivered to your device via push, even when the app isn’t open. Requires push notifications to be enabled on your device.

You can enable or disable push notifications independently for each notification type. In-app notifications are always delivered to your Notification Center regardless of your push preferences.

Managing Notification Types

Each notification type has its own toggle for push delivery. Here’s the full list of notification types you can configure:

Team & Social

Added to teamA coach or admin added you to a teamOn
Playbook sharedA playbook has been shared with youOn

Push defaults are just starting points. You can change any of these at any time from your Notification Preferences screen.

Opting In and Out

Toggling a notification type is simple:

  1. Navigate to Notification Preferences in your settings.
  2. Find the notification type you want to change.
  3. Toggle the Push switch on or off.

Changes take effect immediately — no need to save or restart the app.

Common Configurations

Here are a few setups that work well depending on your role:

Coaches and captains — Keep everything turned on. You’ll want to know about new RSVPs, team activity, and any shared playbooks as soon as they happen.

Players — Turn on event reminders and team invitations, but consider turning off team message push notifications if your team chat is active. You can always catch up on messages in the app.

Casual or multi-team players — If you’re on several teams, you might want to dial back push notifications to just event reminders so your phone isn’t buzzing all day.

Even with push notifications turned off for a particular type, you’ll still see those notifications in your in-app Notification Center. Push preferences only control what gets sent to your device.

Push Notification Requirements

For push toggles to work, you need to have push notifications enabled at the device level first. If push notifications aren’t enabled on your device:

  • The push toggles in Notification Preferences will appear grayed out.
  • You’ll see a prompt to enable push notifications in your device settings.

Head over to Push Notifications for step-by-step instructions on enabling push in your browser.

Resetting Preferences

If you’ve customized your notifications and want to start fresh:

  1. Navigate to Notification Preferences.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Reset to Defaults.
  3. Confirm the reset.

This restores all notification types to their default push settings without affecting your device-level permissions.
