Joining a Team

UltiStackr is built around teams. Once you’ve created your account, the next step is to join a team — or, if you have Coach access, create one of your own.

Joining via Invite Link or Code

The most common way to join a team is through a team invite link or 5-character invite code shared by your team captain, coach, or admin. Here’s how it works:

1. Your team captain, coach, manager, or owner opens the invite tools from the roster or team settings.
2. They share either the 5-character invite code or the full invite link by text, email, team group chat, or whatever your team uses.
3. Open the link in a browser, or if you’re already signed in, open the code in the app with Join with an invite code.
4. If you’re already logged in, UltiStackr checks the code and adds you to the team.
5. If you’re not logged in, sign in or create an account first. After that, UltiStackr returns you to the join flow.

When the join succeeds, you’ll be added to the team roster and taken to the team dashboard.

What Invite Links and Codes Look Like

Invite links use the current 5-character team invite code:

The code itself looks like X7K2P.

Invite codes use uppercase letters and numbers that are easy to read. If a code is invalid or expired, ask a team manager for a fresh one.

Invite Link Permissions

Anyone with the active team invite link or code can join the team as a Member. If you need a different role, such as Coach or Team Manager, ask a team admin to update your role after you join.

Team staff can regenerate the invite code. Regenerating creates a new code and updates the invite link, so old links should no longer be shared.

Don’t Have an Invite Link or Code?

If you don’t have an invite link or code yet, reach out to your team captain, coach, manager, or owner and ask them to send one. Staff can copy the current invite code or link from the roster invite flow or Team Settings.

Creating Your Own Team

Starting a new team? Team creation requires account-level Coach access. If your account still has Player access, enter a coach access code from personal account settings first.

1. From the dashboard, tap the + button or select Create Team.
2. Enter your team name and optionally set a team slug (a short URL-friendly identifier).
3. Choose your team’s basic settings (sport division, location, etc.).
4. Tap Create.

You’ll be the Owner of the new team, with full access to all team settings, roster management, and administrative tools.

What Happens After You Join

Once you’re on a team, here’s what you’ll see:

• Team Dashboard — An overview of upcoming events, recent activity, and quick links to key sections.
• Roster — The full list of team members, their roles, and contact info.
• Events — Upcoming practices, games, tournaments, and other team events.
• Chat — Your team’s communication channels.

You’ll also have access to the team’s playbooks, practice plans, game logs, and more — depending on what your team has set up.
