Profile Settings

Your profile is how you show up across UltiStackr — in team rosters, chat messages, notifications, and more. The Profile Settings page lets you update your display name, avatar, timezone, and password so everything looks and works exactly how you want.

Accessing Profile Settings

  1. Tap your profile avatar in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Tap Profile Settings.

Display Name

Your display name is the name shown to your teammates throughout UltiStackr. It appears on rosters, in chat, on notifications, and anywhere your profile is referenced.

To update your display name:

  1. Tap the Display Name field.
  2. Type your new name.
  3. Tap Save.

Your display name doesn’t need to be unique — two players on the same team can have the same name. But for your teammates’ sanity, it helps to pick something recognizable.

Avatar / Profile Picture

Your avatar is the profile picture that appears next to your name in rosters, chat messages, and the Notification Center. A good avatar helps your teammates quickly spot you in the app.

To update your avatar:

  1. Tap your current profile picture (or the placeholder icon if you haven’t set one yet).
  2. Choose Take Photo or Choose from Library.
  3. Crop and adjust the image as needed.
  4. Tap Save.

Your avatar is synced across all devices, so updating it on your phone will immediately reflect on the web and vice versa.

If you signed up with Google, your Google profile picture is used as the default avatar. You can override it anytime by uploading a custom image.

Timezone

Your timezone setting determines how event times, scheduled notifications, and reminders are displayed throughout the app. Getting this right is especially important if your team spans multiple time zones or if you travel for tournaments.

To update your timezone:

  1. Scroll to the Timezone section.
  2. Tap the timezone selector.
  3. Search for or browse to your timezone (e.g., “America/New_York”, “Australia/Sydney”).
  4. Select your timezone and tap Save.

Your timezone affects when you receive scheduled push notifications like event reminders. If your 7 PM practice reminder arrives at the wrong time, check your timezone setting first.

When Does Timezone Matter?

  • Event times — All events are displayed in your local timezone, even if the event was created by someone in a different zone.
  • Reminders — The 24-hour and 1-hour event reminders are calculated based on the event time relative to your timezone.
  • Notification timestamps — “2 hours ago” is relative to your current time.

Password Management

If you signed up with email and password, you can update your password from this screen.

Changing Your Password

  1. Scroll to the Password section.
  2. Tap Change Password.
  3. Enter your current password.
  4. Enter and confirm your new password.
  5. Tap Save.

Your new password takes effect immediately across all devices. You won’t be logged out of your current sessions, but you’ll need the new password the next time you sign in on a new device.

Choose a strong password — at least 8 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Your teammates are counting on you to keep your account secure.

Forgot Your Password?

If you can’t remember your current password and need to reset it, log out and use the Forgot Password? flow on the login screen. Check out Creating an Account for the full walkthrough.

Google Linked Account

If you signed up using Google OAuth, your account is linked to your Google credentials. Here’s what that means:

  • No password to manage — Authentication is handled entirely through Google. You won’t see a password section in your profile settings.
  • Email is linked — Your UltiStackr account uses the email address associated with your Google account.
  • Profile picture default — Your Google profile photo is used as your default avatar (but you can override it with a custom upload).

To see whether your account is linked to Google, scroll to the Linked Accounts section on the Profile Settings page. If you see a Google icon with your email address, your account is connected via OAuth.

You can unlink your Google account from the Linked Accounts section. Before unlinking, you’ll need to set a password on your account first so you can continue signing in with email and password.
