Getting StartedBeta Limits

Beta Limits

UltiStackr is currently in a web beta. The beta includes the core team-management, playbook, practice, schedule, game-day, communication, and notes workflows, with a few access and operational limits while the product is still being tested.

Access

Anyone can create an account during beta. New accounts start with Player access by default.

  • Player accounts can join teams and use player-facing workflows.
  • Creating a team requires Coach access.
  • Coach access is unlocked by entering a valid coach access code at sign-up, during onboarding, or later from personal account settings.
  • If you do not have a code, you can send a coach access request from Profile Settings and include optional team context for review.
  • Coach access codes are released through waitlist waves or shared by existing coaches. If your waitlist email is tied to an existing account, access may be applied directly with no code needed.
  • Each account that unlocks Coach access receives 3 coach access codes to share.
  • Invalid, expired, or already-used coach access codes cannot be used.
  • In-app coach-role rules during beta currently cap team ownership at 3 teams per Coach.

If You Own More Teams Than Your Plan Allows

If you end up owning more teams than your current plan covers — for example, after a downgrade — UltiStackr doesn’t delete or lock you out of anything. Instead, teams beyond your allowance are parked: they become fully read-only until you’re back within your team-slot allowance.

  • Parked teams keep all their data — roster, playbooks, schedule, chat history, everything — fully visible to everyone.
  • Nobody can create, edit, or delete anything on a parked team until it’s active again.
  • A banner reading “This team is read-only” appears across the team. Owners, coaches, and managers see it with links to upgrade or manage which teams are active; regular members see a version asking them to check with the team owner.
  • As the owner, you choose which teams stay active from the active team slots manager in Billing settings — see Team Settings.
  • A team automatically returns to full read/write access the moment it’s back within your allowance, with no data loss.

Coach access codes are separate from team invite codes. A coach access code upgrades an account so it can create teams. A team invite code adds a signed-in user to a specific team.

Feature rollouts

Some advanced features are released in rollout phases. If a team is still on an early phase, you may notice:

  • The Skills step missing from team onboarding.
  • The Skills section missing from Team Settings.
  • Skill-related tabs hidden in season and player screens.

If a section is missing for your team, it is usually a rollout gate, not a data loss issue.

Platform Availability

During beta, UltiStackr is available on the web.

  • Use a modern desktop or mobile browser.
  • Chrome, Edge, and Firefox are recommended for the most reliable browser notifications.
  • Safari support can vary, especially for browser notifications.
  • Native Android and iOS apps are not available yet.

Team Invite Sending Limits

To protect the beta environment and reduce accidental email bursts, team email invites are capped per team:

LimitCap
Pending email invitations100
Email invites per minute10
Email invites per day75
Email invites per week250

If a team reaches one of these caps, new email invites are blocked until the relevant window resets or pending invitations are accepted, canceled, or cleaned up.

Team invite links and 5-character team invite codes are still useful for onboarding groups because players can join from the shared link or code instead of requiring staff to send every invitation by email.

Sign-In Protection

Email/password sign-in has a short lockout after repeated failed attempts.

  • After 3 failed attempts, sign-in is locked for 15 minutes in that browser.
  • The lockout is stored locally in the browser.
  • Successful sign-in clears the local attempt counter.

Google sign-in is handled through Google and may have its own account-protection checks.

Upload Limits

Some uploads are size-limited during beta:

Upload typeLimit
Note image selected in the browser10 MB before compression
Stored note image after compression500 KB
Play audio attachment500 KB

For best results, use compressed JPG or PNG images and keep whiteboard photos or screenshots cropped to the relevant area.

Browser Notifications

Browser notifications require browser support and permission.

  • Each browser registers separately.
  • Notifications are delivered only to browsers where you are signed in and have granted permission.
  • Do Not Disturb, Focus mode, browser settings, or operating-system notification settings can prevent delivery.

See Push Notifications for setup and troubleshooting.

Changing Limits During Beta

Beta limits may change as the product scales. If a limit blocks a real team workflow, contact the UltiStackr team with the team name, what you were trying to do, and the error or cap you hit.
